That said, the board follows a very consistent pattern — it takes roughly 55 to 65 days after the last exam to complete evaluation and publish results. Based on that, here’s what to expect:

Instead, the board holds a press conference just 1 to 2 days before the result goes live — where the Minister of Education officially announces the date, time, and stream-wise pass percentages. If you’re still unable to access any of them, the SMS method (Section 4) delivers your result directly to your phone without needing any website at all.

The process is the same for both SSC and HSC — only the link you click will differ. Before you start, keep two things ready: your Seat Number (from your admit card) and your Mother’s First Name as registered with the board.

MSBSHSE has introduced a landmark change in the way result documents are issued from 2026. Instead of the old two-document system, students now receive a single combined document from day one.

Passing Marks & Grading System — Maharashtra Board 2026
Maharashtra Board requires a minimum of 35 out of 100 marks in every subject individually — in both the theory paper and the practical exam separately. Most other state boards set the bar at 33%. Failing in even one subject means you’ll need to appear for the supplementary exam for that subject (the ATKT system applies).

ATKT (Allowed To Keep Terms) is Maharashtra Board’s provision for students who fail in 1 or 2 subjects. These students can provisionally join the next class while clearing the backlog in the supplementary exam. However, if a student fails in 3 or more subjects, ATKT doesn’t apply — they must reappear in all failed subjects and cannot progress to the next class until cleared.
